Fayez Tandoori & Balti House, Blackpool

If you're ever wandering the lively streets of Thornton-Cleveleys and your cravings lean heavily toward bold spices and sizzling tandoori flavors, Fayez Tandoori & Balti House, Blackpool is where your food compass should point. Nestled at 82 Victoria Rd W, this Indian gem blends the charm of a local spot with the rich aromas of North Indian and Pakistani cuisine, making it a go-to for those in search of authentic flavour without pretension.

From the moment you step inside, there’s an inviting, unfussy atmosphere. The restaurant leans into simplicity and flavor rather than flashy interiors, and that’s exactly the appeal. It's ideal for solo diners looking for a hearty dinner after a long day or locals ordering takeaway for a night in. Though it doesn’t offer wheelchair access or a designated car park, many guests overlook this because the food more than makes up for it.

Let’s talk about the stars of the menu. First up, the Tandoori Chicken - a dish that’s hard to ignore. It's marinated overnight in spiced yogurt, then roasted in the tandoor until the edges get that smoky char that’s irresistible. This isn’t the overly red, artificially colored version you sometimes find - it’s the real deal: juicy, aromatic, and full of personality.

Then there’s the Pakora, a crispy, golden-fried snack that delivers on texture and warmth. The batter is light but packs a punch, and when dipped in one of their tangy house chutneys, it's the kind of addictive nibble you’ll order “just one more” of, every time. The Tandoori Naan, meanwhile, is soft, slightly blistered from the clay oven, and perfect for scooping up thick curry sauces or balancing your spice levels.

What sets Fayez Tandoori & Balti House apart from other curry houses in Blackpool is how it caters to different dining preferences. Whether you’re popping in for a sit-down meal or opting for no-contact delivery at home, the consistency remains solid. Plus, the restaurant goes the extra mile by offering late-night food, which is ideal for post-night-out feasts or spontaneous biryani cravings.

Drink options are surprisingly diverse. It’s not just about water and lassi here. You’ll find beer, spirits, wine, and even coffee on offer - a small but appreciated detail that adds to the versatility of the place. Whether you want a chilled lager to go with your lamb curry or a coffee to finish your meal, Fayez has you covered.

One of the subtle strengths of the restaurant is the balance between its balti-style offerings and more traditional tandoori fare. Balti dishes here are served sizzling and packed with depth. The spice profile is layered without being overpowering - a clear sign the kitchen understands flavor, not just heat.

While Fayez Tandoori & Balti House doesn’t aim to be a fine-dining experience, its strength lies in its reliability and comfort. The menu doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, but it doesn’t need to. It delivers what you expect from a classic curry house: rich flavors, generous portions, and friendly service. If you’re looking for glam interiors or gourmet reinterpretations, this might not be your stop. But if you want solid Indian food that tastes homemade and hits the spot every time? This is it.

Between its generous dinner service hours, takeaway convenience, and strong community reputation, Fayez earns its place as a trusted local eatery. It's especially popular during dinner hours, where regulars and newcomers alike dig into hearty curries and chargrilled meats, often pairing them with a cold beer or a warm naan.

And for anyone searching online for Indian takeaway Blackpool, tandoori delivery Thornton-Cleveleys, or late-night curry Blackpool, Fayez Tandoori & Balti House is the name you’ll want to remember.

We have been going to Cleveleys for around 14 years and untill COVID lockdown a visit to the Fayez was a must. Post COVID the Fayez appeared not to recover and operated on a collection/ delivery basis. However, a chance search on Google revealed that it was now back as a restaurant. We took the opportunity to visit and it was great to see the old Fayez back. Excellent food served nice and hot by attentive and friendly staff. We had the set meal for two. The mixed starter would have served four, the two curries, lamb bhuna and achari chicken, were cooked to perfection. If you know the Fayez go back and you will not be surprised with the quality. If you would be new to it, give it a go and you will find it to be one of the Fyldes finest eating establishments

Faye’s was our favourite local Indian restauarant before it closed a couple of years ago. Now it is back and as good, if not better, than ever. Excellent food (I had the West Bengal Jalfrezi for my main) and very good service. Hopefully it will kick on again now especially with the wider selection of bars in Cleveleys now. Thank you Robin MacLaren

Great food but there's no license for alcohol and you can't take your own in there. That will obviously keep customers away.
